Is this worth getting? I already have Sonic Rush, but might consider getting the classics. If the compilation isn't worth it, I could always look for Sonic Genesis.

I've heard a lot of bad things about it, so I'd go for the Sonic Mega Collection for the GCN. It's great, and well worth 20 bucks.

It really depends on what you are expecting out of this collection. If you are just wanting to play the classic Sonic games everywhere you go, then buy the collection. But know that here are some problems with the collection. All of the games have the multiplayer modes stripped out of them. Except for some artwork, there is NO EXTRAS in this collection. You are only getting Sonic 1, 2, 3, S&K, and its' lock-ons (minus Blue Sphere). The collection has some slight famerate issues, although it is NOTHING compared to the GBA version of Sonic 1's famerate issues. As far as I know, the debug codes are gone in this collection also. Sonic Rush and Sonic Advance 1-3 are great choices for portable Sonic goodness also.

I don't really think it's worth it, unless your an ultra Sonic nerd. In which case you'll get it whether or not anyone tells you to.
For reference, it has a 72 Metacritic average, and IGN gave it a 70.
