Why is everyone asking for a DS and Wii virtual console for the 3DS/Wii U when it already had backwards compatibility?

Because some games Nintendo isn't making anymore, and some people want to buy new. Also for the DS games on the 3DS, people want to DL them so they can have them everywhere without having to take a cart everywhere, where they could lose it.

Also you don't hae to go find the game at a store, thus making things faster for everyone.
