Topic: L & R buttons broken?

Hi, I'mn Jacob. I got my DSi a few months back and more recently while playing Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story my L & R buttons stopped working. Now some of my games cannot be played correctly. I don't want to send it out b/c I don't want it gone for that long...
Is there a reason behind this? I haven't dropped it or anythinmg and the buttons work fine, the system just doesn't recognize they're being used. What should I do?

I have two ds light's and the first one barely works, while the other one just has a broken L button.
Since there are so many games that use those buttons, I recommend getting it fixed, despite the fact that it will be gone for a bit.

When I had my Ds lite (or original, I can't remember) I had to press the L button in a special way.

My L button was janky, but it just suddenly returned to normal.

No problems here, but I'd highly suggest having it fixed.

...They can REGENERATE?

OMG, yes. My Dsi has both L & R shot (though R sometimes works), and my DS Lite has a dead L button.

Same with me. Except there not broken , just don't work sometimes, and it's mainly the R button. This is definetly something that I think Nintendo could work on with the next DS.

I have found a solution! This sounds weird, but lick them. It (somehow) works. You can also blow really hard into the crevices, but it doesn't work as well. Just trust me on this one.

LOL, same here! Mine stopped working while playing BIS, and I just sent out my DSi today.

Mine has had a dead pixel on the bottom-screen since I bought it (out of box--first game I put in showed it, as has every one since) when used with DS games; Nintendo wants way too much money for the fix....all buttons are fine though (despite the digital clicky D-pad feeling awkward--everything functions as expected)

Jacked up L & R buttons are just from overuse (at least when it happens to me). Just leave it alone for a while and they'll go back to normal.

mine wont work most of the time unless i blow in to them, though blowing too hard causes the upper screen to glitch up sometimes.
