Hello there. I've been wondering. Ever since I've been introuduced to so many quality Flipnote Hantena videos is an extremely short amount of time, I'm wondering if this is indeed Nintendo answer to Youtube? Do you think it is? I do! Discuss this.
What a brilliant theory! Thanks for coming up with this... I really think you could be right... We'll see in time!

Youtube is for everything, Hantena is pidgeonholed into one type of clips. How do you even make the comparison?

Currently, no. There's a possibility that they could update the DSi to add video support but you would think they'd do it from the get-go if it was possible. As a side note, Nintendo has their own little video service for the DS in Japan (involves some add-on I believe) and homebrewers have been able to run video via flashcards (meaning if it's possible for the DS's hardware to handle it would only be better on the DSi).

youtube can and will work as we have seen with the gameboy advance movie cartrages the graphics work great. evan on a 24 bit game boy advanced
That's completely irrelevant. Streaming off an online website while utilizing a program called Flash is completely different from playing a few pre-loaded episodes off of a cartridge, which is incredibly easy to do (even on el cheapo 1 GB MP3 players). YouTube is much more complex than that. Please do get your facts straight.
Also, what the heck is a 24 bit system? Game Boy Advance is 32 bit.
oh sorry about my mistake. but anyway we have seen flipnote stream flipnotes right to your dsi
it would be nice to also conment on videos and login to your youtube acount.

not true... dsi COULD have a youtube APP,and yes - it is impossible for the dsi browser to support Youtube videos (only if it could use dsi internal/sd memory as a "page file" or cache, then it`s possible). since a youtube APP would run on internal mem. i dont see why it couldnt use that memory for the cache...or even sd card`s - but this is out of the question since pirate industry would exploit this for their intentions... or not?
in ANY case, Flipnote is NOT a sufficient substitution for youtube.but it does come close... i do think that in the near future we`ll have something like that.even if we had a video-flash-player,one could dl youtube videos to memory and watch them later.
i thought dsi had more ram... it does, however, have twice the cpu speed the DSLite has (DSi = 133mhz or so).
you can`t beat video with animations... especialy my animations
