Topic: Anyone have trouble updating DK Jr.?

Sorry if my wording was poor in my last post. I was only citing reasons for wanting the updated version of DK Jr. when I mentioned the NES/TV icon on the home screen. No, I don't have one or anything else different from the Ambassador version (haven't checked to see if I can update DK Jr. yet today).

I went to the eShop just now and there wasn't even a notification that DK Jr. Was updated.

Another Reggie mess up, just like with the Mighty Switch Force update.

Don't blame reggie, blame the random guys on nintendo's eshop team.

Still not updated. What's up with this???

America shouldn't be blamed for everything, Europe had massive issues back in the day, not getting a game AT ALL or being very late. It's just our turn for what they went through, so deal with it.

Anyway, I called NOA's number yesterday, and they told me that they apparently didn't update because they thought it was still an ambassador exclusive (From what the woman on the phone told me.) So if that is true... Then the team wasn't even aware that DKJR was on the Eshop!

Free game for compensation! I demand it, Nintendo.

Oh, they'll give us a free game, you can be sure of it.

This is strange... It's been 3 days now and no update. I wanna use a restore point to repeat DK JR dying OVER AND OVER again! (JK)

Well it's been a week. Anyone else contacted Nintendo about this? Maybe they are scared of people uploading images of DK JR dying over and over.

I'm surprised they never fixed this yet, since people in Japan got an updated version. Maybe they forgot to make the NA version with the NES console icon, or maybe they realize no one in their right mind is going to pay $5 for this game anyway so they're not too worried the wrong version is up.

Yep, the update is available. I just downloaded it.

Confirmed, but it didn't appear in the update section. I had to go to my downloads. Woohoo, fancy NES icon at last.

I downloaded the update as well. Why doesn't the eshop automatically tell me I have an update to my game??? It never does, I have to just KNOW there's an update and look for it.

I just had to tap the "DK Jr" icon on the main shop screen.

I bought this game before the update, but I didn't get it as an ambassador. The game had restore points, but it was turned off by default. You can turn them on or off by pressing L+R+X, or something like that, while in the VC menu. The only thing I noticed after updating was the new icon in the menu.
