Regarding the star codes you get with every 3ds and wii u game you get star codes to activate on club nintendo. For me I hold off from entering them too early since they expire 2 years after entering them so I hold out from using them so it will give me a longer threshold on having my star points.
I was looking at the sheets today and noticed that newer games are expiring every quickly.
e.g.
I still haven't activated my WindWaker code and that expires on the 4/4/2017 which is fine as that will be 3 and a half years since it's release.
Now looking at my newer games like bayonetta 1 & 2, Smash wii u and Pokemon alpha saphire. Their codes are expires on the 31/3/15. They are only giving you 4-5 months to enter the codes. I am not sure if this is a mistake or Nintendo decided to change the experation dates on their star codes.
I just looked at another game while writing this thread that was released on the same day as Pokemon. Persona Q expiration date on its code is 28/5/18 which is 3 and a half months. This makes me think that Nintendo own games are giving you not even 6 months to enter their codes.
i also hold off as long as possible before entering the codes (7 right now). the next one will expire at the end of march 2015. the last one will end somewhere in 2017
