Topic: Kid Icarus Uprising: Under the Fiend's Cauldron?

When you're finished in Kid Icarus Uprising, if you move the circle pad down (just after the cauldron spills) at the right moment, the screen moves down and you enter an area (presumably) under the "I'm Finished" menu, which is full of 8-bit hearts and an 8-bit reaper. A beam of light appears, the reaper freaks out, and a heart comes falling down. Then, the light disappears, the reaper goes back to normal, and he paces back and forth until you press a button.

What is the point of this? As far as I can tell, it does nothing. Is it just an Easter egg? It's pretty amusing whatever it is, though!
(I believe this "area" can be seen in the Fiend's Cauldron help video, briefly)

Like @Retro_on_theGo said, its an easter egg, and a sad reminder to how many hearts we have lost.

Easter egg, just like how if you repeatedly tap the cauldron it gets P.O'ed and turns around.

We should have a thread just for little easter eggs like this.
