Hello, I was wondering if you can transfer things such as DLC from one SD card to another.

Lets say I buy a DLC map for Fire Emblem: Awakening or New Super Mario Bros. 2 and it gets saved on the SD card, could I transfer the DLC map from the old SD card to a new SD card without having to buy the DLC map again?

As long as you use it on the same account that has the game. You cant for example buy the DLC then copy it to a SD card and give it to a friend who owns NSMB2.

Yes. DLC can be transferred to another card like any game data.

However DLC is also console-locked, so you won't be able to play it on another system without a full transfer

Ah, I see.
Thanks! =)

And if I may ask: do you transfer the DLC by copying the 3DS file from the old SD card to the new one? Or do you have to do it another way?

I would honestly not bother with copying individual files. I would do an entire copy and paste to another SD card. I'm not familiar with the 3DS's files
