Topic: Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode

I hope there will be, but it's been awhile since Digimon games have appeared on Nintendo hardware in the west... last one I remember was the rather good Dawn/Dusk. Maybe we could get ports of Next Order and Cyber Sleuth? They were both on Vita, so any claim that the Switch isn't powerful enough would be BS.

I would hope if Switch got any Digimon game, it would be the Digimon World series xD

Loved Digimon World despite not owning a PS1. Was the remake any good? Would have loved to see it on Switch. With Bandai Namco saying they want to bring more games over I hope they bring in some Digimen.

@KaiserGX There was no remake of the original. Re:Digitize Decode was an expanded port of Re:Digitize. I haven't gotten to play either that or New Order yet (one due to lacking a PS4, the other wasn't localized at all) but they got better critical reviews than the original Digimon World games.

That said, I have generally preferred the Digimon Story games (localized as Digimon World as well on the DS) that I've played to the World games.

@link3710 I didn't know what to call it. Spiritual sequel or what. I know it's not an exact remake so maybe that wasn't the word to use. I never played anything past World 4 though.

I watched a ton of Next Order, and while it looks pretty ehhhh, I think Re:Digitize / Decode version seems to be better?

Not sure, but still waiting for fan translation to finish. I really want to play another World game :')

Nintendo notice and localize this game!

Is the reason why Digimon so much forgotten for Nintendo players is, because the last game from Nintendo was localized "Digimon World Championship" at 2008 and Digimon Nintendo games afterwards not localized (Digimon Story Lost Evolution, Digimon Story: Super Xros Wars Red, Digimon Story: Super Xros Wars Blue, Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode, Digimon Universe Appli Monsters)?

There are a lot of "Monster" franchises : Pokemon, Digimon, Monster Farm, Monster Hunter, Kurikin Nano Island Story NDS, Zettai Onkan Otoda Master NDS, Yokai Watch, Moco Moco Friends, etc.

@Anti-Matter I know, but.
PS Monster Hunter doesn't fit here, because as far as remember only Riders series is about using creatures and main ones are about killing them.
