@D20Nat20 Buy the 3ds first and test it, play on it for a few hours. Note that 3ds batteries tend to last a while. If it seems to die in, like, an hour or so than best to replace it. If it works for 3+ hours you're fine. 2 hours you should buy it but don't replace the battery right away

Thanks I have no experiance really as either never had battery issues or it's a switch/steam deck that i play docked so batery could be duff and i'd only know if i had the % on lol

If you want the 3D, be sure to get a the revised hardware, aka the New 3DS models, since the 3D effect works best on those. Since pandemic demand for 3ds had been pretty high, and even used ones are pricey. Nintendo stopped producing 3ds/2ds consoles back in 2019 or 2020, I think.
