I’m surprised that what I’m about to say will be an unpopular opinion, but as a Metroid fan since its inception in 1986 (and having played almost every Metroid game since then), I thoroughly enjoyed Prime 4. And I think a score of 9 is justified. It’s the cool thing to hate on this game at the moment, but I trust history will be kinder to it.
The British Game Awards awarding Best Game to What Remains of Edith Finch over Breath of the Wild in 2017 will always be a head scratcher to me… Sometimes I feel like they try to be too contrarian. Not saying Hades isn’t deserving.
@brendathecat Have you tried adding your niece to your best friends list on your Nook phone? I think that opens up more what she can and can’t do on your island.
@StuartGipp Does the European version of this game not include the motion controls that were patched in on June 26th? Just wondering why it wasn’t mentioned in the review?
I was actually surprised at how tight and responsive motion controls were, and it definitely made the game more enjoyable for me at least. I’d think their inclusion alone would easily bump the score up a point or two.
