@DeliriouS You're playing the game on Hard Mode. After you've beaten the game once, you get alternate enemies on your second playthrough if you continue the game on your original save file. To rectify this, just start a new game on any other save file, and the enemies will go back to normal.
All I can say is I hope PS4 is released sometime soon, because I was planning to go Wii Point shopping as soon as possible. Luckily there's Secret of Mana to tide me over.
Yeah, hopefully Nintendo will pick up by Christmas giving us Phantasy Star IV and Castlevania III, and give you Europeans Secret of Mana. These one-game weeks are slightly pissing me off.
I downloaded the first Shining Force, however found there was too high of a focus on replaying the same battle over and over for experience. This also seemed to repeat itself far too often. Does Shining Force II improve on these aspects in any way?
By the way, I was referring to the Snes Space Invaders that was released today. Just so you know, you're better off getting this game if you really want an aging arcade game on your Wii.
Wait a second, if this is both cheaper and more highly upgraded than Space Invaders: The Original Game, why the hell did Nintendo of America bother releasing it?!?
Yeah, 800 points is a serious rip-off for such a primitive arcade game. Except it has FOUR new modes including: a colour mode! (weeps softly in pure agony)
@greatdekutree, I am aware of that, but this version simply seems to lack the intense speed and excellent level design of the genesis Sonic the Hedgehog. Different level design doesn't mean it's worth buying.
A veteran?! Odd, because when I later downloaded Mega Man 2 I was able to beat Air Man and Bubble Man's stages on my second day with the game, despite having never played a Mega Man before (I have to admit though, I was playing on Normal).
By the way, Mega Man 2 totally has the best soundtrack!!
@Nintendude92 I said that from a perspective of some one who's never played a mega man title before. From that perspective, Mega Man 1 or 2 is the best bang for your buck because it not only has the great soundtrack and precise gameplay of Mega Man 9, but for someone who doesn't need all the additional content the Nes titles really are the best way to go. After all, isn't Mega Man 2 considered the best game in the series?
By the way, Mega Man 3 came out today in North America, so that serves as a viable alternative to Mega Man 2; all for the same low, low price of 500 points. I'm sure Mega Man 9's still a great game though.
Is this game easy on Normal mode compared to most platformers, or still rather difficult? Also, is Mega Man 3 easier than Mega Man 2, harder or around the same?
One of the first games I played on my Game Boy Color (Super Mario Bros. Deluxe), this game is amazing. Along with Pokemon, this game pretty much defined my video gaming childhood. While some parts of the game during the later levels really pissed me off - especially the Hammer Bros. in World 8-4 - it is still an amazing game, and should be respected for creating one of the oldest and greatest video game franchises ever.
For some reason, I'm really good at this game, but not at some later mario games, such as Super Mario World. Not quite sure why.
This is ONE of the best zelda games ever made, but I feel Ocarina of Time was superior, despite the similar plot.
Still, it's definitely the second best zelda game, and improved on the original substansiully. This game feels more like the first true zelda than the nes original, even though they are both great games in their own right.
I hope this is released at retail with all five episodes after the series is complete, because it just takes up way too much memory to try to download all of the episodes. After all, if Telltale wasn't planning to really change anything in subsequent episodes, then what's the point of relaesing the episodes one by one on Wiiware?!
The best of the 2-d sonic games; mainly because of the spin dash, co-op gameplay, and a wider variety of stages. The game also has a more fast-paced feel than some of the other sonic games, which is pretty awesome. And the difficulty adds a bit of length to the game, while not becoming too frustating because of the ring system.
Plus, who doesn't love that good ol' Sonic 2 boss music?
I don't this game is as great as you think. Look at the jumping mechanics in the video! Anyone reading this post should take their 500 points elsewhere, such as investing in say, SUPER MARIO BROS. 3 maybe!?!
Awesome, awesome game. This is probably the only mario rpg that comes anywhere near the depth of a Final Fantasy title. Trust me, there are a lot of side quests. This game definitely deserves a 5/5.
By the way, Sonic Chronicles is not that great. No offence Bioware, but next time don't put in all the Elite Beat Agents special moves. That was just lame.
This game sounds awesome, especially after i played the Brawl demo. But is it more of a platformer or a shooter? Regardless, I plan to download Super Metroid as soon as I can.
I've played Sonic 2, but this one looks good too. Just wondering, is it worth downloading the original if I already own Sonic 2? You know, to see how the franchise started.

Re: Shining Force
I agree. It feels rather dated, although I hear that the second is much better.

Come on, where are Phantasy Star IV and Castlevania III?!? Is NOA just trying to f*** with us?
Re: Virtual Console Reviews is Two Today!
Happy belated B-day!
Sorry, this is is the first time I've been able to browse the site since Monday.

Where's Phantasy Star IV Nintendo, WHERE IS IT!!!

Man, is this game really that bad?! LOL

Re: EU VC Update: Phantasy Star IV and Mega Man 3
Awesome!!! Since we just got Mega Man 3, Phantasy Star IV should be here come Monday! Too bad I have no Wii points left after Mega Man 2 though...

Why do any of you even bother with this game when you can download the genesis version for a meager 300 extra points?
Re: USA VC Releases: Secret of Mana and Street Fighter II Genesis
Wow. Secret of Mana. I sure didn't expect that! Although I knew it was coming eventually, of course.
Note: This post is a little late, I actually heard about it a week ago, but something happened to my original post.

Am I the only one who thinks that 1000 points is a rip-off when you can download mega man 1 or 2 for half the price?
Re: Review: Strong Bad Episode 1 - Homestar Ruiner (WiiWare)
I think that this is the best wiiware game out right now, so don't worry that it only got a 7. The episodes will no doubt improve later on.
Re: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
Best zelda game EVAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR!
Re: Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium
This was released in Japan in June, so it should be coming soon, right?
Re: EarthBound
Does anyone have any idea when Earthbound is coming out?
Re: Super Mario World
So someone other than me actually thinks this game is kinda hard, even in the early levels.
