Re: Review: The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom - Nintendo Switch 2 Edition - A Sublime Sequel, Now Sublimer

@DennyCrane Congrats. I STILL hate the breakable weapons and the stamina bar, and always will. To me, it’s just a horrible way to try and extend even more the playtime of an already gigantic game. A very sadistic way, I might add. When I failed a battle for the nth time, breaking EVERY weapon I had in my very limited inventory, I finally decided that this game definitely wasn’t made for me. TotK is a little more forgiving, so I’m more likely to return to it in a few years, but not now. I pay to be entertained, not frustrated, and to me BotW is an extremely frustrating game. Oh, how I miss older and much more manageable games like Ocarina of Time and Twilight Princess… Echoes of Wisdom was a nice little distraction, even though it wasn’t as great as the mainline games before Skyward Sword. I really, really hope they’ll take some cues from it when they make the next mainline Zelda.

Re: Review: Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour - Surprising, Delightful, And You Know Where It Belongs

I know EXACTLY where it belongs: in the store shelf (digital or otherwise). I’d NEVER pay for a tech demo, and I really hope other people won’t as well. It just doesn’t make sense. Astro’s Playroom is a tech demo, and Sony obviously bundled it for free with the PS5… why should one even consider being mugged of their hard earned money by Nintendo trying to sell a tech demo? No. Effin’. Way.

Re: Rumour: Zelda Live-Action Movie Will Reportedly Be Part Of A "Trilogy"

raccioly

It’ll be “The Lord of the Triforce”, a generic version of the one and only The Lord of the Rings… as much as I love The Legend of Zelda games, and I do, Nintendo was never known as a great storyteller. If you look at that “timeline” they invented, well, it’s really pathetic - and it’s been amended more than once because there are lots of inconsistencies, which proves that it never existed until fans asked for it. It’s fine for games, which don’t really need to be related, but not so good a foundation for a movie, let alone a trilogy. I hope they get the absolutely BEST screenwriters on the market, or this will be a royal mess. (That said, I have high expectations for the movie, be it a stand alone affair or the first in a trilogy. As I said, I love The Legend of Zelda games.)

Re: Switch 2 Supply Chain Figures Reportedly Revealed Ahead Of 2025 Launch

Regardless of price, I’ll be waiting for at least a year to get the Switch 2. The first batch always has lots of problems. Also, there’s a distinct possibility of a hardware revision in a year’s time… it’s Nintendo we’re talking about, after all. Maybe this time things will be different, since they are reportedly producing a huge amount of units, but as the saying goes, better safe than sorry.

Re: Nintendo Shares Hit Record High, Apparently Thanks To 'Switch 2' Fever

raccioly

I hope the Switch 2 will be announced soon… Nintendo is surely taking its sweet time with this one. Unfortunately, it’ll probably be ridiculously underpowered, same as the current console, so all I hope for is a better design for portable use - the Switch isn’t exactly ergonomic and using it on portable mode is far from comfortable. The Switch 2 could be a lot better in this respect. And they should definitely get rid of that awful drift problem. It can’t be that hard to solve this.

Re: Reaction: What's Your Gut Feeling On The Zelda Movie News?

raccioly

People doubted that the Lord of the Rings movies could be any good, and complained about Peter Jackson choosing live action - but all three movies were amazing. If he succeeded, I can’t imagine why a live action Zelda movie wouldn’t succeed. I guess it’ll be hugely successful and at least as good as any other high fantasy live action movies or TV shows. Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones, The Witcher… why not a Legend of Zelda live action movie? I, for one, am really excited. Can’t wait to see it when it’s released!
