Yeah... i rarely get a game on the eshop before reading a review or two, but jumped on this one as I was fond of Overboard!, and thought what's the worst it could be given the cheap price... what a waste of money at any price, worth less than a dollar! Learnt the lesson though. Shiver me timbers!

No offense, but I think all the complaints are just plain trolling... dlc on other platforms & games have less content at higher cost. Nintendo has given great value with most of the dlc it's added to some games, and this is probably 30% of what the season pass is getting. Cant wait for this and the 2nd in December.

Also... what is the average cost people spend on games for each hour they play those games? I'm 160 hours in and I'm sure I'll hit 200 by the time I get 100%. I don't think I've gotten close to the same enjoyment & wanderlust out of any other game I've ever played.

I did this a while back using chests found at sea, but i can see the minecart being easier as it wont slip past the mast easily. Chest is much better than a weapon though... and no ways i'm going to schlep a cart all that way.

@impurekind I def agree on adding a wind waker vibe and still kinda bummed that the "great white bird" didnt end up being a flying mount aka Loftwing.

Free repair or not.. damn good manners. We all should applaud this kid and take a lesson from him. Good manners, politeness and sincerity, even if you have to pay for them to do their "job" goes a long way, even if it never comes back to you. I pity the negative me-me-me people on here that think otherwise.

Ironic opinions from someone who leaves Europe (guessing a substantial portion of the market) disappointed and some projects "unfinished". Wish someone would take cave story (3DS) from Nicalis and bring it to Europe like they did with another "unfinished" Nicalis project. Then I might care what Nicalis has to say again.

Though I have a lot of respect for Nicalis and Tyrone, I just feel that this is a bad excuse. Regardless of the extra hurdles and red tape, some games have come through to EU before NA. I have all of the EU eShop games worth having (as well as some not worth having), how did those devs/publishers manage to get those over the same hurdles? Not saying that his frustration or reasons are invalid, just that we as gamers pay a price at the end of the day that includes the road to get it released, and often due to exchange rates and EU's sometimes ridiculous pricing, we pay more than most for our games. Nicalis/Tyrone - Why wouldn't it be worth it to release Cave Story in EU? I'm sure (don't have the faintest insight though), that it would make sense financially to bite the bullet and tackle the process to get these games to EU.

I have in the meantime though got a PSP and I'm busy playing the free homebrew version of Cave Story (not sure if it's frowned upon, cfw and all, don't care though as I've been waiting for probably 2 years for a portable cave story)... for some reason I still hold out for the 3DS version though, and will happily buy it if it pops up on the EU eShop.

I noticed a while back some guy commenting every time that he'd boycott Nicalis until they release cave story in EU, I wonder if he still does...

Enough already. I want Cave Story, and I'm sure a LOT of EU gamers want it too.

I'm in SA, would have assumed that it would be available as we are part of NoE, but doesn't seem available when I log into Club Nintendo... pity

Finally released in EU! Great game, enjoying it more than the first. Still think it deserves a more favourable review. I would love to see Dillon evolve into a mario/zelda/metroid-scale series!!! ...

I was surprised by this game, despite the review. Would have liked to have the action on the top screen with some 3D effects, but nonetheless I enjoyed this game more than I thought I would - still stuck on beating the final boss though. I would give it a solid 4. Or maybe I just want to like it a little, to justify the money I spent on it

While the review has it's fair points, it definitely deserves a 7 or 8. Apart from an expectation on enhancing/changing the control scheme, I certainly wanted more Dillon after playing the first. If that delivers, including some graphic enhancements and other bits as per some of the comments, then sign me up! (EU date?)

Come on I've bought 90% of the 3DS eShop games, at release, at full price - just to see discounts left & right. My fault for paying full price, but still a bitter pill everytime I see a discount!! Also still no Cave Story 7 months after it being announced for EU...?! What's the hold up?!
