The After Years for sure. But I’d also like to see the two DS 3D remakes of FFIII & IV on the Switch. Also a 2.5D remake of Chrono Trigger and a Tactics collection.
@InvisiBulbasaur It’s easy to mod the US/C SNES to play SFC carts. You just snap off two tabs inside as it’s already NTSC. Far harder to mod a PAL SNES to play NTSC carts but that’s irrelevant. I can imagine how much you love your SNES especially as the box has been cared for. Unfortunately for me it’s exactly what I’m looking for 😂 Never give it up!
@InvisiBulbasaur If you ever want to swap your boxy purple SNES for a SFC with colourful buttons that plays NTSC U/C carts as it's been professionally nodded including the cart slot which now takes the square US carts AND the EU/JP rounded carts and looks identical to a normal SFC I'm always up for taking. Preferably yours would be boxed?
With combat moves like 'Fisting God' and 'Final Climax' this is a must have. If only for curiosity value like the religious beat-em up. I still love me some Buddha vs Santa action. What did I just type... I never thought I would. Ever!
@Facelord Adult children that can murder hundreds of enemies, blowing them into chunks of flesh (hello Doom Eternal) but we can't have a game with sexuality. All power to Nintendo who this generation definitely Do what others Don't.
God but I wish Nintendo would turn that 90s (00s?) advertising back on itself as a bit of a meta parody.
@Ajent I dunno, maybe the concert analogy was a bit snarky as I've never seen ticket touts at concerts rip people off like scalpers rip us gamers off. Like I said though, no disrespect intended.
As to pre-ordering, i am COMPLETELY in favour of it. The people that say we get inferior games etc are wrong. It's only recently that games like CP2077 release so below par and with a release date that was pushed back and back eventually they had to set a date in stone and go 'gold' however the game was and then work on the best day one patch they could to mitigate the game's weaknesses.
The problem with pre-ordering though is us mere mortals rely on screen refreshing and the retailers having the capacity to handle the traffic for a particularly popular item. Take the Monster Hunter Rise/Stories 2 Amiibos for example. I had no idea when the amiibos went live for pre-order and by the time I knew they'd already gone out of stock. I've had to order the Metroid amiibo from Germany! Literally out of stock everywhere in the UK. Yet there was a massive rush to get the Loftwing amiibo and they went out of stock pretty much instantly, the scalpers had them three times retail less than an hour later. Yet, you look now and everywhere has them in stock the day before their release.
MH amiibos are still impossible to find in the wild so what recourse is there but to turn to the scalpers if you want one, or two. Nintendo create a false economy based around amiibos which definitely doesn't benefit them. If they made enough to go round people would buy from official outlets and scalpers wouldn't exist.
Unfortunately, with the PS5 and Series X/S we mortals don't have bots and can't control pandemics and chip/silicon shortages. I was lucky enough to be able to preorder both and all the accessories I wanted. I really do feel sorry for those that weren't.
@Victorstk Never had drift in any of my joysticks fortunately but 'thank you' for finding and posting such a simple solution. Shame that this is the internet and so many people here (rather than YT) seem to be negative. Amazing stuff dude!
@Ajent Your concert metaphor is completely incorrect lol. (No disrespect). As someone working in the UK music industry I know for a fact that you actually could turn up to 99% of sold out concerts on the day and almost guarantee you could buy a ticket from one of the many resellers. BUT. Although this is technically scalping they don't ever charge anywhere near as much on the ticket price that scalpers do on Amiibo, gaming ltd editions and hard to find consoles. eBay scalpers are on a whole other level.
Typical that the Amiibo takes forever to get a UK pre-order. Nintendo don't even email you to tell you they're in stock... Grrr. Another sale for the scalpers I'd imagine. It sucks. If we didn't buy from the scalpers there'd be no scalpers but if the ONLY way to buy them is from the scalpers... And on it goes. If Nintendo didn't create a false/secondary economy by releasing enough then there really wouldn't be a problem. The Loftwing amiibo is absolutely EVERYWHERE atm. Monster Hunter Rise/Story 2 Amiibos? NOWHERE. crying
I really don't get all the hate for the US SNES. It's boxy and I have always loved it over the JP/EU SNES. Even the purple was cool even now. Plus 60Hz, snap the tabs inside out and you had a console that'd play US AND JP carts. What's not to love? I'm in the UK and have only ever owned US SNES's. And still have one hooked up to my CRT.
No love in the comments for the ASCII Stick Super L5? I still have one. It was never designed for drinking beer and eating pizza while playing games. It was specifically designed for JRPGs where reaction time was largely irrelevant and you could just sit back, relax and play one handed. It's still a very chill way to play SNES JRPGs.
The Wavebird... Still have my two. Making the best Nintendo controller wireless was a genius concept. Is there a way to make it compatible with the N64? That really would be awesome. Although I love the N64 controller I would love to play Wave Race and 1080 with the GC controller. (Here's hoping that Nintendo read this and add GC controller compatibility if they ever decide to re-release Wave Race and 1080 or even remake and update them. Pleeease!!)
Canon Spike (sells for ridiculous amounts of money now), Last Bronx, Fighting Vipers 1 + 2, Powerstone 1+2, Crazy Taxi 1 + 2 (with the original soundtracks, ie sort out the licensing issues). Most of the Capcom games, DoA collection, Soul Calibur 1 + 2, most of the JRPG's, Sonic Adventure 1 + 2 (find a way to replicate raising Chaos on the VMU!), Jet Set Radio (but Future), Sega Rally 2 (M2 to handle ALL first party Sega emulation), Daytona USA... Hell just release everything and let people cherry pick.
It was/still is an amazing console. I still have my DC (and Saturn) hooked up to the TV (and still have all the lids for my VMUs!!)
@Ralizah The Switch should definitely become the new home for the SK series now that Sony wants to censor everything. It's not like Nintendo haven't supported mainline SK games on the 3DS. If Nintendo released Burst Renewal on the Switch it'd be a first day purchase for me even though I have the PS4 version. Ironically, if you have a JP account on your PS4 you can download the Japanese demo for SKBR which contains everything they censored in the West.

@TenEighty Diddy Kong Racing and 1080. You forgot Waverace… 😂 These would be my top 3 Nintendo racers with F-Zero at No 5 after Cruisin’ USA at 4
