I don't have Active Soccer on Switch but I have it on other platforms and it's miles better than this.

I've played these tables in real life, in TPA and have a virtual pincab running Visual Pinball X.

Played the beta on Steam last night - they totally nailed it! Physics feel great and the graphics are top notch, nice lighting and shadows. Really excited to see it on Switch.

This game is great fun, I loved Paperboy.

But the review says 'with high scores to chase...' - a major, major niggle from my viewpoint is there don't seem to be any high scores. At all. No leaderboards, not even a record of high score.

And what is it you're meant to be chasing? Distance, score or money? It seems a bit unfocused. A real shame, because the core gameplay is SUPERB, and full of character. I love it, even with the lack of high scores - I'm playing for distance, and just making a note.

9/10 from me, even with that niggle. It nails it.

Track & Field is Hyper Olympic in Japan. Hyper Sports was the sequel.

Great review though, I'll be picking this one up as I love Track & Field etc

My Switch spending has been crazy lately, but I'll have no problems with adding this one - it's my wife's favourite old shooter
