The Gamecube had the best controller in my opinion. The button navigation was perfect and had comfortable melding, plus, it's probably the only controller to survive two generations.

@sak904 Nintendo has just done all of what you just said. Xenoblade, The Last Story, Pandora's Tower. Those are all new IPs from Nintendo. And Kid Icarus: Uprising is a reboot of the Kid Icarus series. I would love to see a new Ice Climbers though...

SM3DL was some of the most fun I've had in a mario game for years, and people should stop complaining about the amount of Mario games. It's not like they aren't making any other games.

I'm personally just hoping for a system with up to par graphics, good 3rd party support, and doesn't crash after 3-4 hours of gameplay. If nintendo does that, and trust me, that IS what their doing, I'm sold.

I'd buy it just to see Mewtwo get some recognition again..

I've never really played many hudson soft games, but it is still saddening to see a classic developer die.

You could say the exact same thing about link, that doesn't change the fact that the games are awesome.
Mario is an all around easy to play and remember character and trying to deepen his character could jepordize that. In my opinion, the Mario RPGs do a good enough job showing Mario as a character and that should be good enough.

Gamecube is my favorite console no question. Baten Kaitos, all the mario-zelda games released for it, fire emblem, Metroid prime, and plenty of rather obscure RPGs made me put more hours into that system then i did with my ps2, N64, and DS combined.
