@PhhhCough 1. Online services alone, NSO is poorly built, has next to zero features, no party features, no achievements, everything in it is the literal least Nintendo could offer 2. The "free games" Nintendo gives us is the same Mario and Zelda games they've sold to us at least a dozen times in the past 20 years before NSO - plus, unless your game has Mario, Zelda, Kirby, or Metroid in the title, the majority of the games they gave us are pretty bottom of the barrel. 3. These "free games" are also NOT available to be bought separately. So if all you want is to play Mario 3, you can't even buy it for $10 - you have to pay monthly forever to be able to keep playing it. Less of a "free game", and more of a "hostage situation" 4. Numbers. Xbox gives about two free games every month, right? Just how many great SNES, N64, and Genesis games were there? We could have all the gems in barely a year - and then what? Maybe Nintendo will offer more things with it someday, but as it stands, it's an incredibly weak and shallow offering compared to both XBG and PS+
No amount of FOMO gains would overcome the amount they'd get in future sales.
The only reason Nintendo would take this off the eShop would be if they plan on releasing them all separately at a higher price than they cost together in the bundle, meaning we're looking at a minimum of $30 each, but considering this is Nintendo we're talking about - $40-$60 each isn't impossible either.
