Can someone tell me what Emily Rogers track record is? The only thing people have been telling me is that she was right about Paper Mario Color Splash and TP HD but both were leaked prior to her talking about them. Like Paper Mario was leaked and rumored 8 months prior to her taking the credit for it, and TP Hd was found on the eShop database before she said anything about it. So it's hard for me to know how reliable she is when most of the things she apparently leaks were already around.
I recall Aonuma saying there will he no voice acting in Zelda Wii U. Like he said they considered it but decided against it. And he said this some time towards the end of last year. So I feel like it's hard to see these rumors as reliable now.
The choice between gender sounds nice but I'm afraid of the character becoming generic and the storyline being light to accomodate for this. Unless they change the relationships with certain characters depending on if you play as a girl or guy, I feel like Link's relationships with everyone will be strictly platonic and well... pretty bland. Like in Skyrim-- while you can marry people of the same sex-- your relationship with everyone outside of your spouse is bland and in XCX your avatar doesn't have much depth.
Like of course, a female Link can have feelings for Zelda (or any female character but I'm seeing more people voice romance towards her) just like a male one, but I don't see Nintendo doing something as progressive as non-het relationships in a series as big as Zelda, which is a shame. I mean maybe I'm wrong and Link's gender won't affect any possible romance (not that romance is very important in the series) in the game but realistically, I don't see Nintendo doing that if they go the 'choose a gender' route.
@NintyMan She's not the one who leaked them though. Nintendo accidentally leaked Paper Mario prior to her saying it was happening and TP HD was found on the Wii U/eShop database. She's been wrong about multiple things in the past. What she says should be taken with a grain of salt.
just out of curiousity, but aren't they the same artists who hardcore support link and zelda as a pairing in every game? cause it seems like it based on what i've read by them
