Re: The Virtual Console Isn't Coming To Switch, Nintendo Confirms

blagobago

I fully expected that esp at this point. VC was great for awhile on Wii, it brought me back to Nintendo for awhile as a heavy retro gamer. Then Wii U dropped quite a bit of that... then they cancelled VC on Wii...ugh (still would have been fine for years to come). Of course now switch gets nada. Then they release Nes and SNES classics that are impossible to get. Nintendo has turned on the fans who made them who they are. Good thing I've been heavily collecting carts instead the last few years instead of buying more drm, non transferable, kill the whole platform forever games. They will also drop VC for Wii U and 3ds in next year... prediction <--.
Nintendo has an incredible backlog of IPs and it's like they don't recognize the value of it... People are just waiting to throw cash at you. There is a whole retro gamer scene with $ who doesn't give a flip about most new games but would gladly buy your hardware just to download old stuff on the go and an occasional new game.

Re: Feature: 20 Games That Aren't On The SNES Classic Mini, But Really Should Be

As much as I liked some of these SNES games at the time and as much as many are classics, most of them aren't ones that I'm gonna go back and replay... Nintendo actually left out a LOT of the most fun, replayable games on that system I'd go back and play now, esp the 2 player fun games... Fortunately I have most of these already in some form or another.

Super Street Fighter II (more players)
Mortal Kombat 1, 2, 3, championship
NBA Jam (either version)
Turtles in Time (great beat em up)
Final Fight 3 (another great beat em up)
Battle Toads Double Dragon (seeing a pattern here...)
Killer Instinct
One of the Madden Games
One of the Ken Griffey Games
Clay Fighter
Rock n Roll Racing
Samurai Showdown, etc etc...
