@ThanosReXXX I never said that the dock was going to be battery powered only. The console runs off the mains when docked and fully charged. It also charges the dock's battery. You can then use it as an external battery pack for your console by putting the console in the back, and using the dock as a stand, or in the front as a protective case, your choice.
@ThanosReXXX It actually might be an option. Why would you want the screen showing? Because Nintendo knows that in many homes, especially in japan, people don't have the space for a big TV. Therefore, if you can charge the Switch, while displaying the screen, you don't need a TV one bit. This means that you'll only have to plug in the dock to a power outlet to play.
I'm surprised that nobody has thought that perhaps the reason the dock is so chunky is because it has its own battery. This could solve all sorts of battery issues! It would also explain why the Switch fits so snugly into the dock! You just unplug the Flip from the power outlet and TV, and the dock then works like a case for the console. You can either chose to charge the console off the battery while sitting in the dock, or you can (pardon the pun) switch the orientation of the dock, put the console into the slot on the back, and charge the console while you're playing! It baffles me why nobody has thought of this possibility...
The problem isn't that they are or aren't saying things about the NX. It's the fact that Nintendo clearly gave the Wii U the end of life prognosis, and are treating it like it's already dead. The games coming out for the Wii U are the ones that were too far along in development when they declared it dead. Nintendo clearly thought that their smartphone strategy could buy them time to finalize the NX, but it obviously didn't work. The result is that we are now seeing Nintendo frozen in the headlines like a deer, and people are getting upset. Had Nintendo thought this through a little bit more, they would have given some NX information so gamers would at least see the light at the end of the tunnel.
It's actually worrying that Nintendo is being so quiet about the NX, when they are killing off the Wii U as fast as they can. I hope that NX news comes soon, but it probably won't. Right now they are just frustrating Nintendo fans, and causing everyone else to stop caring about it. The biggest problem is that once Nintendo does reveal the NX, it will be too late because people are already hyped up for the PS4 Pro and Xbox one S and Scorpion and unless the NX can go toe to toe with those systems, or blow them out of the water, most gamers are going to see the NX reveal as a "late to the party me too" move. That is the number one thing Nintendo should be avoiding, as doing this would instantly be a death sentence for the NX. It would cause game developers to once again ignore Nintendo's system because it would be seen as nothing new, and a hassle because they have to add functionality for the new gimmick. I understand that Nintendo doesn't want the other companies to steal their work, but the longer consumers have to wait to hear about the system, the higher a chance there is that either people will have moved on from Nintendo and not care, or that they will be letdown because there was too much time to speculate.

Re: Nintendo Switch to Reportedly Use USB-C for Charging, But Dock May Not Support External Hard Drives
This rumor sounds like fanboys wishing. They probably will use a similar charger to what the Wii U uses.
Re: Rumour: Nintendo Switch Game Cards Limited To 16GB Size
This rumor sounds like the type of news that would come from someone hoping Nintendo fails, or from someone who doesn't have very high expectations.

Re: Video: Here's How You Can Kill the Forbidden Woods Boss in One Hit in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker
This is just cool. One more thing I didn't know when I did my 3 heart quest. As I now say: Zelda is more dangerous than Gannon in this game!
