I couldn’t be more excited about the co op campaign. The wife and I enjoyed the co op missions so much in this game and always talked about how cool a co op campaign would be if they ported the game. We never thought they would add it. I hope the control options are good, we felt the Wii remote was the best.
@GetShulked I would guess that they ported this one instead of 1 and 2 because this one has the most room for improvement. Giving solid controls could make this game go from mediocre and frustrating to good or maybe even great. 1 and 2 are already great, and have very good controls, they would just look nicer.
Maybe I missed this in the review. If the Dirty Tricks bother you that much turn them off. I think the wrong person reviewed this, it’s not a simulation game and the reviewer just doesn’t seem to like or understand this type of sports arcade game. If you leave dirty tricks on they become a tool you manage. If you waste yours, yeah you might get screwed at the end. Use them properly and They are powerful and you can mitigate damage the other team can do with them. Another thing. All the hazards on the field have visual identifiers, just don’t run over them, it’s that’s simple, seriously. Sometimes I try hopping over hazards so the defender chasing me hits it. The game freezing is fair critisism, that happened to me me once. The announcers get a little annoying, you can tone them down or turn them off. Is is a great game? no. Is it a good game? I think so. Is it a fun game? Yes.
One of the best features of the Switch is you can play how you want. This game has decided to be play how we tell you. Gyro controls work in Handheld, but they just can’t add them when your in docked mode. Options are a good thing, if there isn’t a good reason not to have them they should be there. Hoping people buy more pokeball controllers because play options were artificially limited is not a good reason. Doesn’t matter what you prefer everyone should be able to understand people being upset about this decision.
The Only Civilization game that was good for online in my opinion was Revolution, because you could get a game done in under a couple hours with the right settings. The online for this game would have been a barren wasteland anyways, the only way it would be useful is if you can play with friends and save and restart online sessions.
@Aurumonado I love it, only had it a couple days because it just came out. My understanding is all these Gamecube HDMI solutions run off the same open source firmware, with permission.
I see a lot of people say use a Wii. I have a few counterpoints to that.
1. Wii2HDMI adapters are cheap as hell, they are about the worst picture quality you can get out of the Wii. If all you care about is HDMI and not the quality these will do the trick. If you care about picture quality and still want to go the cheap route you are better off using component out of a Wii.
2. The Gamecube actually outputs better video quality than the Wii. It outputs a clean digital signal, the Wii only outputs analogue. Gamecube games look noticeably less blurry in 480p out of a Gamecube vs 480p out of Wii.
3. Those with Gameboy player will also get progressive mode with HDMI on the Gamecube.
4. The Gamecube HDMI solutions offer line doubling for 480i to 480p. The games look a little bit better, better than what comes out of the Wii for sure.
The elephant in the room is the price. Personally I feel it is ridiculous. I have noticed they are promoting their product a lot lately since a solution that is half the price has come out.
I missed this part the first time I read the article. "At $20, it's a whopping two thirds cheaper than PS+ and Xbox Live Gold at $60. The best part is, it doesn't really offer anything less."
It doesn't really offer anything less? This leads me to believe the author of the article has never used PSN or Xbox Live, as they no doubt offer much much more.
I haven't been one to grumble because I understand from a technical stand point online gaming costs a company money, and Nintendo couldn't go for ever without recouping the cost.
I do have a issues with something in the article "the service that provides access to premium online gaming".
Tell me how it is premium online gaming? It is basic online gaming. PSN and Xbox Live are premium online gaming with dedicated servers, matchmaking, integrated messaging, integrated chat, integrated party chat, etc.. Nintendo Online is no where near premium online gaming.
I'm fine with $20 for basic online gaming and I am fine paying $60 for premium online gaming.

Re: The Ninja Saviors: Return Of The Warriors Gets A Delay In North America
Figured something was up. I have been waiting to pre order this one. It looks like they really nailed the way to update a game.
Re: Trademarks Hint At A Game Boy Clone From The Aces At Analogue
@JayJ you can buy a backlit IPS screen for $50 for the GBA and it is pretty easy to put in, no soldering.
Re: Two More NES Games Join The Nintendo Switch Online Service In August
Vice Project Doom is a great game. It mixes up a few genres, unique in how it did that. It was one of my most suprising pickups on the NES.

@Nessmissesmum you have to cut off the dummy prong, I saw a YouTube video form RGT85 doing it. Or you could just get this one: https://insurrectionindustries.com/product/carby/

I don't know what the price across the pond is, but for us in the US this is half the price: https://insurrectionindustries.com/product/carby/
I have one of these more reasonably priced products and I love it.
