It has been revealed that The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors will be subject to a delay in North America, while the European release remains unaffected.
The game – which is a sequel to the brilliant SNES title – hits Europe on August 30th, as was originally planned. However, the North American release has been pushed back to October 15th.
We reviewed the Asian version of the game recently, and said it contained "huge, lush backdrops, silky animation, and tight, mob-levelling ninja moves." It scored 9/10.
Here's the official line:
The reason for the short-term postponement in North America are unforeseen logistical challenges, which could not be solved in time despite intensive efforts. ININ would like to apologize formally to the many fans who are already eagerly waiting to play this masterpiece. As small compensation for a longer wait time, the physical release will contain some extra items that will be revealed later.
ININ also adds that the western version of the game will arrive completely uncut:
There is more good news: The game will be released as a completely uncut experience in Europe and the US, including the option to change the color of the hit effects to red. It will also include enemies which were not included in the Western Super Nintendo version at that time. An extensive insight into the features and characters is provided by the six-minute XXL trailer which was released today.
How does this delay impact you personally? Let us know if you're a North American player who was waiting patiently for this release, and if the delay will test your resolve the force you to order the game from overseas.

I knew it was gonna get delayed because I wanted it...no good lazy ass Americans.
You can also get it from Amazon.co.uk:

@Ayye-ant None of that sir
Sheesh. That's a long delay. At least by then there will likely be less games competing for my attention...
I've already got the Limited number one (2,000) pre ordered from Strictly Limited Games.
Logistical issues? The trucks with the game all blew up?
Or maybe it’s the French localization again... Should we blame Quebec?
FYI: The Western versions come with a poster, sticker set, and manual. Plus a keychain if you preorder & are the uncut version. The Asian (multi language) & Japanese versions do not/are not.

So is this the eShop version as well?
Blame Brexit it gets the blame for everything else😂
I’m OK with this, September is jarred with releases on Switch, as well as the Genesis Mini release. This is off topic, but I’m trying to confirm something. I have an Amazon pre-order for Killer Queen Black that says it ships last week of September, but I can’t confirm a release date anywhere on the innernetz. Has anyone else heard anything on that front? Possibly on the Tweeterverse maybe? I don’t have any social media accounts.
Already got the physical version from Play-Asia so no worry here.
Figured something was up. I have been waiting to pre order this one. It looks like they really nailed the way to update a game.
Wow, timely news story! I've been searching the internet the past half a day (not the whole time!) wondering what was up with this. I kept searching the eShop for the digital release, entering in different spellings and removing spaces between words (try finding Soulcalibur on PSN! There's no space or you don't find it! On PS3 anyways.). Anyways, I'm glad to hear about the delay. I'll get the U.S. release with the extra stuff. What is the file size on this game?
Or just import it
@60frames-please Cannot be more than 500megs considering it is all 2D.
@Jokerwolf I went and checked on the Japanese eShop, but I've forgotten what it said. Something between 400 and 700MB, I think.
Public service announcement: The Ninja Warriors (Saviours) Once Again is 706 MB on the Japanese eShop listing. 3024 yen
@BacklogBlues that just means you don't have the uncut version as stated on the article.
Actually it is the uncut version @Dirty0814. As Strictly Limited Games is a European company which sells European versions of games.
That sucks, but I’ll still get it.
Darn it. I guess this gives me time to finish Zelda before playing this one.
Crazy question, is it possible that the delay is becuase of any kind of censorship? Cause Yakshas bouncing is too dam amazing.
Had an email from Amazon in the UK saying my shipment would be delayed and the release date was now 13th September. Had a quick glance around some other retailers and the date is still 30th August.
Any news Nintendo Life?
