I belatedly received an email from Nintendo saying the same thing (though had received mine by then):
'Unfortunately there has been a technical error with your tracking details. We can confirm that your console is being delivered on a Hermes Next Day for you today and you can use the below details to track your order.'
After all my ranting mine has arrived via courier not Royal Mail. Feel slightly bad after sending my 4th cross email but the whole despatch information process is a total muddle. Seems that the Royal Mail part is just the 1st part of the process and then we lose sight of it until it arrives via a courier.
@ROBLOGNICK Really appreciate the update. I am still dubious based on previous experience of Royal Mail tracked. Especially when they haven't even received the consoles from the Nintendo Store yet. Be interesting to see what Royal Mail say. Still trying to get through myself.

I don't understand why they stated that they were shipping for next day delivery yesterday and then we then find out they are using Royal Mail tracked! That email from them detailed in the article is increasingly turning out to be a blatant lie.
Had an email from Royal Mail saying that Zelda is out for delivery today. Checked and my console pre-ordered on the same day (13th Jan) hasn't even been received by the Royal Mail yet. This is utterly appalling service and I hope that they are called on it.
Same situation here. Late afternoon I received an initial email regarding the console stating that it would be despatched today ready for next day delivery by courier. Followed 2 hours later by an totally contradictory email stating that it had actually been despatched by Royal Mail tracker with an estimated delivery date of Tuesday/Wednesday.
And am still awaiting Zelda which was ordered separately but on the same day as the console (Jan 13th).
What a shambolic mess. If there are delivery issues tomorrow I hope Nintendo UK think again about allowing the Hut group to run their online store.
