I did end up doing the trade in with an OLED (got full value), because I still had my original 2017 switch to transfer the save files from the OLED to until the switch 2 arrives. I only upgraded my original first run switch because the right side joy-con kept disconnecting, thus making it only good for docked mode. I think I was in a super unique position, so I might as well take advantage of it. I can do docked mode only for a month.
A friend of mine bought me the first game this past Christmas and I just now got around to and beat it last week. That's some timing.
The first game was a little slow to start, but after a few movement upgrades, it felt really nice to play. And a map that changes colors when a room has all its secrets found? Brilliant. The first game wants to be 100% completed and it gives the tools necessary for it in game.
Certainly going to keep an eye out for this new one.
I purchased the game, but I haven't opened it yet. I was waiting for credit from the Mario Tour thing. With the pins off the table, I'm returning my copy of the game. It's such a bummer, but at least I can still return the game. I'll just pull out the 64 when I want to play Mario 64/GameCube for the other two.
