These are the feelings the Metroid series are based on. Adding goofy and talkative characters did not fit the vibe. Add to that weird silence from Samus, her not talking isn't the character, she just doesn't have anyone to talk to. Prime 4 missed the plot entirely and the series has been moving away from its roots since Fusion. I think it's gone, unless Nintendo stops hiring directors with their own vision and starts hiring those who want the bring out the series vision.
Given the amount of information and access to the game it's pretty simple to get a good idea of what the game is. Honestly I'm pretty disappointed in the game, it's a high definition repeat of yellow, but lacking many of the things players loved. It's worse than just easy, it's whites and therefore unrewarding. Some level of challenge should be expected, but my team was level 70+ after just 6 hours of play and Eevee doesn't care how many badges I have, she just does what I say.
