I never use my Switch in portable mode, it's strictly used in the dock, and I will only buy Switch exclusive games for it, if a game is multi platform, I will always buy the PC version not because it might look better or whatever else but because of the price, I'm not paying the added Nintendo tax for a game that I can get so much cheaper off Steam or GOG or where ever else.. indie games are notorious for this, a few quid on Steam but £15 and upwards on Switch.. no thanks
@Monkeido Really?? I had no idea, I was just happy they added normal directional control and made the tank controls optional in the remaster, I own the original CD version and the remaster on PC, gonna have to give the point and click controls a go when I get home then..
@Monkeido It's not a point and click, I have no idea why this review refers to the game as one, you have direct control over your character using the control stick, even the PC original wasn't point and click, you controlled Manny using the cursor keys or a joypad
This game is the reason I soft modded my original Wii, I bought the game and absolutely hated the controls, after modding the Wii and a simple cheat code later, I was able to use my Classic Controller and choose whatever button I wanted to use instead of those awful motion controls, so to all those that are saying it's too much work for Nintendo to dig through the code to change stuff.... it really isn't..
How long ago did you place your order? I made a pre-order for the MK 8 bundle on the 29th Nov, my delivery date has been put back to the 12th Dec when it was originally supposed to be the 5th... got a feeling Amazon are gonna let me down..
"It's quite shocking that Donkey Kong, the game that made Shigeru Miyamoto famous, has never been perfectly ported to any system in the 30 years it has existed – Donkey Kong 64's version came extremely close, but for some reason it starts at a higher speed than normal to make things more difficult."
Just thought I'd mention that Donkey Kong recieved 2 very good conversions back in the day by Arcana Software... to the C64 and Amstrad CPC, both include all the levels and play damn near arcade perfect
