I grew up playing Mario 64 in diapers. Sure it started out challenging but imo Odyssey is way too easy. I never encountered any bugs of this magnitude (or remember any really) on Sunshine either. The Mantis invasion level at the haunted mansion was the hardest one for me and maybe the one at the village where you don't get to use FLUDD. As someone who has played mario since the NES days, it seems people hate difficulty anymore. They want to just breeze through. Completing something really difficult is the best part of a game and having to learn how to beat the enemies and bosses is the fun part (in Odyssey every boss fight felt nearly identical).
