It's a shame this game doesn't let you assign the four attack buttons to the four face Switch buttons. (The SNES version does and that was awesome). Tapping lightly to produce the light attack is very annoying (and tricky in the heat of the moment) and takes away from the enjoyment of the game. Still, the memories

Fun little 2 player game that feels like a splice of beat 'em up affair and platforming goodness. It's all too easy and short but what fun you'll have. If you like Run Saber, this isn't too far off... like a chibi version of Run Saber almost, but with some sick tag team moves thrown in for good measure.
@Shiryu thanks man! That's very nice of you to say about my site. I remember your Youtube channel and we're definitely two OG's who have been doing this SNES stuff for a good while now.
Admittedly, this game is a BIT disappointing to me, but only because when I first played it back in 2006 I had REALLY high expectations for it. I'm talking 9+ out of 10 level expectations. It doesn't quite reach that level for me (personally, I score it a solid 7.5 out of 10) but that doesn't mean it's a bad game by any means. Just a bit disappointing. If anyone would like to see my review of this as a second opinion, just google "RVGFanatic" or click on my profile. I'll take DoReMi Fantasy (an absolute Super Famicom gem) over Majyuuou any day of the week. Well, except on Halloween, of course
^ Yo Starboy! WHAT UP MAN! I signed up on NintendoLife just to comment on your comment. THANK YOU for stating it so well. I agree 100% with your take on why you like Brawl Brothers. I like it so, and exactly for the reasons you stated. I can see why it gets flak from others, but it's definitely better than Final Fight 2 IMHO. Well stated, my e-friend

Re: Columbus Circle Is Releasing A New Super Famicom Game This Year
This is one of my Super Famicom favorites. You can read my review of this game here: http://rvgfanatic.com/wordpress/index.php/bs-shockman/
BTW, it also made my Top 50 "Obscure Super Famicom Games" list, which can be read here for the morbidly curious:
