I bought this game blind because it was on a fairly deep sale and had no idea what I was getting myself into! I was playing it on the main tv when the tutorial puzzle part popped up and I made my first match, heard the girl make her little noise and was like, this is a game for handheld mode! I have no problem with risqué games, but I just wasn’t expecting what this game actually was.
I still play my Wii U frequently. Mainly Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate and Fatal Frame 5, but now that Fatal Frame 5 is coming to Switch, I'll be interested to see how they handle the camera mechanics. It just fit the Wii U perfectly.
I'm still picking up this game. I couldn't care less about multiplayer in Civ games. It's a single player experience for me, and I'm thrilled I'll be able to play it anywhere!
@tanookisuit My guess is that the reason they aren't telling us what exactly is broken, is because it may have been caused by the 5.0 Switch update. Saying that the update broke the game makes both Nintendo, and the Developer look bad. Better to just say they are fixing the issue, than telling us the nitty gritty about what exactly happened. I applaud them for delaying the game. Most developers would have pushed it out anyway, and "fixed it later".
@Shiryu Watched a bit of your video, and the game looks brutal. Is there no way to block projectiles? I like difficult games (Demon's Souls etc), but I am not a fan of inescapable damage. I'm sure I'll pick this game up eventually. I have a bit of a backlog right now!
@PhilKenSebben Unfortunately, Manticore has been delayed last minute, at least as recently as yesterday. Maybe they fixed the problems and are releasing it soon, but I haven't been able to find a new release date, and they pulled it from the eShop. (again as of when I checked yesterday)
I have no problem with the Switch rewards program. Last night I got Outlast for half price, and all I had to do was buy games like I always do anyway. Yes, the program pushes you toward digital purchases, but for me personally, that's not a problem.
How is Diablo 3's always online requirement going to function with a device that is made to be portable. I would hate to have the game, and then not be able to play it because I'm on an airplane or something.
I'll definitely be picking this game up. I love horror games, and being able to play them on Switch is a treat. I love playing horror games at night, with the lights off, while in bed. Creeps me right out!
This review actually piqued my interest in this game. I know I'm late to the party on this one, but if I can pick it up on sale, I'm going to check it out.
I really hope this game gets an english translation! This sounds like a fun game to pick up and rock out to! I haven't played a rhythm game in years, but if this gets an NA release, I'll be sure to pick it up!
I really hope this game is good! I like the art style, and I like the original story. If the gameplay is tight and fun to control, I'm sold! Here's hoping this turns out to be an exclusive gem on the eShop!
I'm happy this game has come to the Switch. A YouTuber I watch started playing this game on PC a while back, and after the first 10 minutes I had to stop watching, because I wanted to play it myself without being spoiled. I finally have a good excuse to pick it up! I love playing horror games on my Switch!
Many people have stated that they won't buy this game because it's published by EA. Even though I don't like EA's business practices, if you don't support games like this, EA will think they don't sell, and continue to churn out by the books, microtransaction laden trash with no heart and soul. This game was made by a small team who aren't a giant faceless corporation, and it's games like this that we should support. If enough people buy games like this, and boycott the REAL crap like Battlefront 2, it may change EA's perspective on things. Money talks in EA's world, and boycotting small indie titles is not hurting EA, but it IS hurting the indie developers that put their heart and soul into their product.
I just picked up Splatoon 2, so I'll be playing that. I've never played a Splatoon game before, and I normally don't play online shooters, so I'll be playing the campaign to hone my skills. Everyone told me that Splatoon 2 is the shooter for people who don't like shooters, and they seem to be right, because I am really enjoying myself. I suck pretty bad though. Hopefully, my skills will improve enough that I can contribute to my team in the PVP matches!
I've been looking forward to this game since it originally released on PC. Now that it's on Switch, I'll be sure to pick it up. I have no problem with "walking simulators" if they are done well. I just checked the eShop and it hasn't released yet for some reason! Hopefully that will change soon!
