I don't think this is a big deal as a whole, most other fighting games make big cuts between games, Smash has always been an exception, and if I'm honest, I don't want Ultimate ported and expanded forever. It would make it a bigger game, but I don't think it would make it a better one, not to mention the nightmare that would be renegotiations with all the companies and the balancing of every fighter. I would love some big gameplay changes, mainly balanced fighting game style supers, every character having 1 or 2 special input moves like Kazuya and, probably most unrealistic, MvC style tag team. Ultimate feels like the culmination of Smash, it needs a pretty big direction pivot.
