Re: Review: CRKD x Gibson Guitar Controller For Switch + Switch 2 - Great Quality, At A Price

Not sure if you've been living under a rock, but this guitar has so much negative criticism outside of what you see content creators and reviews say.

I'll post a brief list of issues everyone is reporting:

  • Frets that don't work (mainly green)
  • Loose whammy bar
  • Dropped inputs/disconnecting frequently
  • Didn't inform anyone about silicone pad ruining the mechanical feel of the frets
  • Bad paint, it peels easily (people are worried about kids eating it)
  • Dongle cover difficult to open
  • App connection issues
  • Bad poll rate, not what was promised.
  • Thin plastic, guitar is very delicate and flimsy
  • Some people report that the wires inside the guitar aren't connected properly
  • Extreme lack of customization. A lot of us were expecting something like steam input, but really you can only remap the frets as other frets. The app is extremely limited
  • Guitar is normal x-input, it doesn't register as a guitar controller subtype, just as a normal controller

Those issues would be forgivable... except CRKD support is so bad, you need to do 20 emails just to get an RMA and actually get a working guitar.

Overall, this feels more like a $50 dollar guitar. It isn't what was advertised to us. For the price, you can get a custom guitar that is much better.
