i would LOVE to see the N64 ones on the nintendo eshop. and bass, for most Eshop games there is this wonderful device they put in called a restore point in which you could use to save your progress any time you want.
i honestly belive that video game companies shouldnt be the ones being bashed for kids playing games rated M or T 18+ the parents that are the ones who are dumb enough to buy these games for children and let them play it only later to be appauled to find out that it has excessive violence. they should be responsable and do the parent thing and actually take the time to look up the rating. it says why its rated M under the friggin rating anyhow.
you know one or two of namco's characters in the new smash bros game wont be bad to be honest. its something i would expect, but on the flip side of that i dont want namco overloading the roster with their characters. what i was more worried about really was namco trying to change the gameplay mechanic of smash bros to something more along the lines of tekken or soul calibur. i like smash bros brawl style for its freedom of movement and fluidity. honestly the only thing they should take away from that was the randomized tripping that would happen in brawl. honestly i have no idea why they decided that that would make a good gameplay mechanic. but as far as characters in this one im expecting astaroth to be in brawl seeing as he is their main character for cameo's and proabally hai heachi from tekken but thats about it.
mahe thats because they, for some weird reason. think that all the 3ds titles that are in japan wont sell well enough, cough MH tri 3d cough and some others as well. nintendo and other game companies need to grow a pair and start releasing outside of japan.
yeah im sticking with physical copies. im sorry i dont see the appeal of double club nintendo points when the stuff they offer on there is basically junk to begin with. the only thing thats really worth getting is the giant mii ar card. and whats the point of downloading the game for the exact same price as if you would buy it physically? honestly it should be cheaper seeing as it would cost less for them do put it for download seeing as they dont have to spend the time and money creating box art and manuals.
personally it suits me better to buy the game physically seeing as i work at a retail store where i can get a 10 percent discount on games anyhow. if they are gonna make downloads full price they should at least work to add on some better content with the game.
so japan or some other countries get cool nintendo based polo shirts, europe gets awesome mario kart 7 trophies. and what does america get? a deck of friggin playing cards. x_X
a lot of people when they see a new game only care about how it looks. if i had a nickle for every time i heard "how are the graphics?" i would be flippin rich. honestly they should be asking how is the gameplay instead of graphics. gameplay is what makes the game, graphics are just icing on the cake. i have played tons of games with amazing graphical quality but the game itself sucked so bad i never went back to it again. and yet there are still games that i love replaying over and over again with horrible graphics, just for the sheer gameplay of it.
its ok but yeah they did focus a bit too much on coin grabbing to me, if you get a life for every 100 coins you get added with the fact that coins look as if they just pour out of every hole and enemy you step on it kind of takes away from the challenge and the point of having lives in the game. it ceases to be a challenge if theres no consiquence. they should have added in some of the older mario suits like the cape, or the boot. heck, they should have re added the giga mushroom that thing was fun lol
i could see a few companies that would be a better choice. having namco in this kind of worries me. honestly i would have been happier if capcom were in it instead of namco.
i honestly want both but to me it would make more sense to put a link to the past as a 3d classics game for the e shop. and do a cartrage reliese for majoras mask like N64Dude said.
glad this didnt happen honestly, both are space based games but on two entirely different ends of the spectrum, it would be RIDICULOUS for these two to have a crossover.
i downloaded the demo and didnt like it. visually its nice if not for being a little blury, and the controls are kind of bad, he slides around way too much and you can glitch yourself into corners you cant get out of. that and the sounds are way too repetative and irritating.
in my honest opinion here i dont see this as a bad game. but i dont think its one i would go buy. its pretty much another side scrolling fighter game. i was pretty excited when i saw that three different game companies were working on a game together and i was really hoping it wasnt a fighter. i was hoping they would put their creative minds together and come up with a completely new game instead of mashing their big name characters into one game and seeing which one would win in a fight. the only thing that really surprises me about this game is that namco didnt jam pac man or astaroth into this one.
i agree with what black dragon said. im stoked that maka wuhu has been fixed because the only way to keep up against the people who glitched was to use the glitch yourself. although i have to admit i never picked the map, i usually stuck with random as well. but happy nintendo decided to listen to their fans and fix the game.
Bioshock 2 on the ps3, just beat the first one. hopefully next weekend ill have alice madness returns! gonna use the online pass to download the first game for free.
the survival horror game market, like capcom said, is rather small. but i think it to be a very rare gem amongst many mainstream games. i love survival horror games. like true survival horror games. the origonal resident evil was a great example of this. limited number of saves, very limited ammo and weapons and using your survival abilities the game provided to let you get out. i recently bought a game on steam called penumbra, a true to the roots survival horror. no weapons in which to defend yourself, if the monster comes after you, you run like nuts and hide till it goes away. never more has a game scared the crap out of me and made me more cautious. i loved resident evil 4 and 5 as well as revelations, but while they have horror aspects i cant call those a survival horror game. not much survival to be done when your toting around the infinate rocket launcher. or the hand cannon. heck even with the starting weapons. capcom needs to take a step back and limit the amount of ammo and health you find in a game which will turn up the survival aspect and possibly work to make the game more horror than just sinister and evil. i love the resident evil series but i just cant call it a survival horror anymore.
yeah fantasia was basically a... well music video for lack of a better term. for some classical songs. it was very good though i liked it. and yeah iz is right, musical+disney= nothing new, disney wont try out something new. the first one could have showed a post apocalyptic disney land with mickey and his paint brush to fix it. (well thats what they advertised) but no, just grayscale disneyland more or less is what it was.
idk about this one really. i didnt care for the first it was bland and repetative. and it was somewhat different from what the advertisements and hype was about. i think ill skip this one.
well andrew g seeing as your on here. i have a question to ask you then. i was running through mario and i used ur vid as a refference for shortcuts. in world 4-2 you hit the box that makes the vine grow and run past it and go into the third pipe. origonally i thought the third pipe was the shortcut to world 8 and shortly after i found out it was not. it was the vine. honestly that is the only thing that makes me question the legitimacy of this video. you have to go up the vine to get to world 8 and you completely skipped past it and yet still ended up at the warp point. my question is how you managed to pull that off.
the whole online pass thing is a stupid gimmick for gaming companies to get more money out of you anyhow. the whole "redeem this online code for multiplayer options" thing only recently came about. i remember when i wanted to play a game online i didnt need to get a fancy code that enabled me to. i just had to click the multiplayer option and woosh! there im online. no code needed.
that guys nuts, he was really playing a dangerous game with some of his jumps, world 8 looks like it gave him his biggest problem seeing as he had to slow down for a second or two to hit a few jumps right. this guy is crazy lol
now that i think about it. anyone remember picto chat? and how much of a let down that was because you couldnt go online with it. and it was pointless to pictochat someone because they were right beside you? add the elements of picto chat to swapnote and just make it online compatable. that would be awesome
like a multitude of people have already stated an instant message feature would be nice. also some organization and a way to delete multiple notes at a time. as well as a keyboard feature if u dont wanna hand write. also the ability to send people messages who are in ur mii plaza so u can swap friend codes with them.
played the demo the second i got the chance. i cant wait for the game to fully release, i love the control style and the amount of invintory space they give you compared to the rest of the game. even without the second circle pad to go with the game the control style is very smooth. this looks like this is going to be one of the better resident evil games.
glitching like Arcana said. should remain a single player type of thing, and mostly some glitches arent that bad, its a "hey look what i can do" type of thing. the maka wuhu glitch though was a really big mess up with nintendo, if they couldnt find a glitch as obviously huge as that one was they need to have a serious talk with their testers and possibly hire some new ones. this point is proven even more so if you look at the skyward sword glitch that causes the game to be impossible to complete. nintendo did fix that one i know, but they should have never let that slip by. so to nintendo i say this. STOP RUSHING TITLES! these two major glitches in two of your bigger games that came out in 2011 should have been proof of that. you could obviously make a lot more money if you took the time and effort to make sure a project ends as smoothly as possible. as my roommate said "i honestly think something is wrong with the gaming societey when people with college degrees who are paid to test games somehow miss a glitch as irritating as maka wuhu's yet kids who arent even out of highschool yet find it within seconds"
"We are aware that it is possible to navigate a certain part of the track in Wuhu Island in a way that allows a large part of the course to be bypassed. There are no plans to update the game to remove this shortcut as doing so would create an unfair advantage for the users"
um... the fact that this glitch is in the game creates an unfair advantage for users already, adding in a patch would fix this issue. saying it could create an unfair advantage by fixing it just translates into this. "we here at nintendo know we screwed up pretty badly with that map, yet we are too lazy and dont want to spend the money to fix this issue. so instead here is a cop out excuse. have a nice day" i agree with the masses and masses of nintendo fans who want this fixed. cause I (like them) am tired of trying to find a good set of people online who want to play other maps other than maka wuhu. this always seems to be the chain reaction. 1 search for race 2 find a race 3 someone picks maka wuhu 4 they lose or fail at glitch yet continuously pick maka wuhu 5 other racers join in and thusly pick maka wuhu 6 maka wuhu is the only map that is now played. this is an issue that really needs to be adressed seeing as this chain raction seems to happen 100% of the time and it takes away from the online gameplay.
honestly this seems like the most pointless accessory nintendo has ever put out, like are people seriously THAT lazy that they have to have a stand to put a lightweight portable device on while playing it? really?
@shredmeister unlocking the fusion suit in prime 1 was just one of those "hey lookie i got the cool extra content" type of things. it really had nothing to do with connecting the storylines other than making samus look different. i would love to see this for the e shop soon, this was one of my fave metroid games.
also i see a lot of wow the 3ds got a 1 rated game already quotes. please dont blame nintendo for this abomination of a game. it was the creators not nintendo. the 3ds is a great system. the ar thing is a great function, i very much enjoyed the ar card games. this game however was a complete and utter failure through no fault of nintendo's at all.
yeah, i have to say the concept for using the ar system to make a game was interisting. BUT as a lover of horror games and well games in general just by reading this. this game faild in every way shape and form. to be honest i dont get why this game wasnt just canceled by the creators. no way am i ever going to be walking around to different locations just to finish a game.

Re: Reaction: Age Ratings and Video Games
i honestly belive that video game companies shouldnt be the ones being bashed for kids playing games rated M or T 18+ the parents that are the ones who are dumb enough to buy these games for children and let them play it only later to be appauled to find out that it has excessive violence. they should be responsable and do the parent thing and actually take the time to look up the rating. it says why its rated M under the friggin rating anyhow.

Re: Nintendo Has No Plans to Fix Mario Kart 7's Maka Wuhu Glitch
ok wow. time for shocks rant of the day here:
1 search for race
2 find a race
3 someone picks maka wuhu
4 they lose or fail at glitch yet continuously pick maka wuhu
5 other racers join in and thusly pick maka wuhu
6 maka wuhu is the only map that is now played.
this is an issue that really needs to be adressed seeing as this chain raction seems to happen 100% of the time and it takes away from the online gameplay.

yeah, i have to say the concept for using the ar system to make a game was interisting. looks interisting. not sure what series this is from but the playstyle is what got my attention i think i might pick this one up.
