The world looks nice but the main character designs... I legitimately would have assumed this were one of those "Pokemon-inspired" type fan games. Ones that try to simulate the overall feeling, but just don't quite hit that same art style. The overly similar outfits are probably part of that too, they don't strike me as memorable or unique. I'm sure most won't care, but eh.
@dBackLash Because it is a (typically) large event in the competetive video game scene, and is run as a for-profit sport of making money off the games and IPs that are hosted there. It isn't just Nintendo who has a say if a game can be there, any company or publisher can choose whether they want to allow their game(s) to be hosted. They own the copyright to things in that type of situation. I don't believe EVO needs to outright ask permission to host a game (this I'm not 100% certain on though), but if the publisher steps in and tells them not, they have to comply. Nintendo simply had no issues with them hosting Melee in the past.
@BloodNinja I can understand boycotting future products, but having already purchased the game I would think the least you could do is finish playing and appreciating the full amount of work the devs poured into the game. After years of blood and sweat I somehow doubt the people who worked so hard would want everyone to refund it or stop playing permanently.
@NWC You realize they'd have already gotten your money right? Gamestop sold stock to you, stock which was bought from Nintendo. Your return has quite literally zero impact on Mercury.

Re: Random: No, Your Wii Isn't Going To Self-Destruct
What gets me is when people say "Ok but considering what nintendo usually does it could have been true!"
No, you're just stupid.

@TowaHerschel7
I don't have an issue with the design, it's the fact that they look to be almost a literal pallete swap between the two.
