It is a weird attitude to have, especially at this point, Nintendo need some support and promotion.
But I'm extremely tired of greedy Youtubers importing games early and uploading full-length walkthroughs just for views and money. It spoils the surprise.
Pewdiepie has only played two Nintendo games on his channel - OOT and Smash 64 - and they were both ROMs played on the Project 64 emulator. Here's a guy who makes an insane amount of money by recording himself playing video games while being otherworldly feminine complaining about not making a few extra pennies off games he never bought.
I genuinely can't wait for him, and the self-important ninnys and pompous reviewers on there to fade into Fred-esque obscurity.
Though I do kind of feel bad for the channels who've been solely dedicated to Nintendo games, I wish them the best.
"Nintendo needs to be pulling out some bigger guns right now, especially after falling so far behind MS and Sony over the holidays, and considering the plethora of content coming out for them in the next couple months. Nintendo's biggest hitters over the next two months are Monster Hunter and a remake of an N64 game--up against Bloodborne, The Order 1886, Evolve, Resident Evil, Dying Light, Dynasty Warriors 8, Dragonball Z Xenoverse, etc."
Where's the guarantee that Bloodborne and The Order 1886 will be any good? Fanboys are putting too much hype behind untested games and one-hit wonder developers, look at Destiny as an example, 6/10 generic garbage.
Also, why use a Nintendo site when all you do is bum-up Sony and MS? Just about everything you type comes down to how much better your PS4 is compared to everything else. Are you too big a hipster to join a site where people share the same opinions as you?
@KillScottKill "You clearly don't know your action games".
No need to be such a hipster snob now sonny, I'm sure like every other bandwagoner suddenly clinging to Bayonetta, you never paid any attention to the original game when it was released 5-6 years ago on PS3 and 360.
TLOU is overrated. The whole zombie apocalypse thing has been done time and time again.
@Quorthon No disrespect intended, but you are quite possibly the biggest hipster I've ever come across online. From ditching Majora's Mask because it's suddenly popular, bumming-up Sony and MS on a Nintendo site, to supporting and hyping games you don't expect anyone else to buy, to typing novel-length replies going into explicit detail on why everyone else is wrong and you'r right.
@Quorthon It's a popular, critically acclaimed series that sells millions, and you expect them to leave it alone? Sixteen main series games in twenty-seven years and suddenly it's FIFA. Do you expect Nintendo at this point to dedicate themselves to untested games that may end up being unpopular and start releasing sequels to games that never sold well enough on their more popular consoles? Is that going to be the big turning point?
Not everyone owns those consoles (N64, GC, Wii and Wii U), there'll be a whole new younger audience who haven't played Majora's Mask.
Splatoon and STEAM haven't been released yet, you can't write-off the fans yet.
The series started in 1987, and there's only been, what, sixteen games? The last console release was in 2011, last year's release was a handheld. It's not like Zelda games are churned out yearly like FIFA or Assassin's Creed.
You're starting to sound like a hipster here. People have been rallying for a Majora's Mask re-release for years now.
@Quorthon That's a 2008 article, it really doesn't mean much today.
Like I said, "It's not 100% accurate down to the last copy sold, but it's good enough to get a ball-park range on where it's at."
I personally despise VGChartz and the all-knowing experts that use it. It's almost single handedly turned the video game community into zombies who only care about sales and think that they know what will and won't sell.
But it's the only site that provides a stable enough source.

The PS3 port is not as bad as people say it is, it's a bit rough, but I have it and I loved it. Even got the Platinum Trophy. I also don't pay any attention to Wikipedia articles, especially when it comes to tracking sales on anything. The links on that site are very rarely updated.
@Quorthon We were lucky to get a sequel to start with, no-one cared about the original game until the sequel was announced as a Nintendo exclusive. It's got people's attention and has won multiple awards.
There'll be another, most likely on a Nintendo console.

@Quorthon Ah, the ultimate hipster strikes again!

@Quorthon Hahaha, fair enough.

@Quorthon Yet another Zelda game?

Re: Platinum Hopes to Bring "More From Bayonetta" in 2015
@Quorthon I disagree there. I think the Nintendo crowd have given the series the support it needed and missed on the PS3 and 360.
It's already at 500K sold, it took numerous discounts, deals and years to pass the million mark on the PS3.
