Re: Nintendo Wins Four At The Game Awards 2014, While Shovel Knight Scoops Best Indie Prize

Personally, if there was an award for best sequel of the year. Does anyone else other than myself think that Bayonetta 2 would have won that category? Maybe I'm wrong and maybe the judges would have picked Far Cry 4 but I'm just curious. Then again, Far Cry 4 was not in the running for Best Game of 2014 so maybe I am wrong about that as well. I would love to hear your thoughts!

@DTFaux & @ACK Indeed guys. Also, I want to bring up that the games themselves should be taken into consideration. Some people believe Super Smash Bros is still incomplete (some will agree, others will disagree) because of what is yet to come into the current installment (tourney, custom course sharing, and more). Mario Kart 8 on the other hand is a practically complete game where only certain additions can be made like costumes/vehicles/courses/etc. These factors could determine how amiibos will also be used in-game. Hopefully that is also true as well. If not, future titles will show us how Nintendo intends on using amiibos in certain games. Plus, it takes a lot of work and time to create additional gameplay that is not similar to the original origins of a given game.

Did anyone other than myself get a kick out of the 2-minute video on "everything families need to know about Super Smash Bros for Wii U"?
I think Nintendo has a good reason for not going too far with amiibos actually. Think about the overall cost toward video games and maybe some will understand what I'm getting at. I hope so anyway.
