Honestly it looks shockingly bad IMO. Look at the lack of detail on the sand, and the fact that sliding your motorcycle across the sand doesn't even leave any trail or indication that you went by. The Gears 5 sand effects look vastly better - Prime 4's look like PS3-era graphics. Heck, go back and look at Mario Odyssey when Mario is running through the Sand Kingdom - it's a much more convincing effect than this. If they can't do sand better than this, they should have just made it a rocky terrain or something like that if you ask me.
They tested the Siwiqu dock against the official Nintendo dock playing Cyberpunk for a few hours and the Switch was actually slightly hotter while using the official dock (probably because there is less air flow around the screen area), so it doesn't appear that the fan in the official dock is doing much if anything. This just appears to be Nintendo trying to force you to pony up for the inflated price of its own accessories - I'm actually surprised they didn't do the same thing with the USB C camera tbh.
@link3710 Possibly - though this was only looking at the first few years of each respective system's life, right? I would think the Wii U -> 3DS ports happened later in the 3DS life, but I'm not sure.
As another commenter mentioned, you should exclude the Wii U ports from the list of Switch releases.
I fully expected there to be more games coming to Switch from Nintendo, but that's because I expected them to have a steady stream of 2 types of games at 2 different price points: $40 releases that weren't full HD games but were more like indie-caliber graphics, and $60 HD releases. I don't understand why they haven't made a new Advance Wars, or Mario + Luigi, or 2D Metroid that could add to the library without taking a ton of development resources and time.
Instead, it seems like they just focused all of their development resources on new $60 HD releases, which obviously wouldn't generate as many titles as they did on 3DS + Wii U. A big missed opportunity, IMO.

Love this - always great to see high-profile women who love to play games and aren't afraid to say so!
Re: Talking Point: Is Nintendo Making As Many Games As It Used To?
@link3710 yes, but if you read the article they only take into account the first 4 years' worth of data

Re: Port Specialist Saber Interactive Is Working On New Games For Nintendo Switch
Would love a Fallout 3 port - or better yet, a FO3 + NV combo...
