I have mixed opinions about Super Mario Kart. I know it started the series and everything, but it honestly feels pretty clunky to play (but then again, that's probably since I never grew up with this game). The soundtrack is great (but then again, every SNES game had a great soundtrack), and some of the courses are pretty fun to play on, but I don't really think that Super Mario Kart holds up as well as the other Mario Kart games.
This is a pretty good remake, but I would still rather play the original over this one. While it does add more content and more playable characters, it adds some new problems such as worse controls (using the d-pad instead of a joystick honestly feels pretty weird). I would recommend picking this up, but only if you don't have the original Super Mario 64.
Super Mario 64 is honestly one of the best Mario games. It was the first 3D Mario game, and still holds up really well to this day. There are some problems with it, such as the crappy camera controls and the obscure hints for obtaining stars, but the good really outweighs the bad in this case. While I don't think it's the best Mario game, it's still up there in the greatest Mario games.
If it weren't for Pokémon Ruby and Sapphire, then these would be my favorite Pokémon games. They improve on Pokémon Gold and Silver a lot, and while Pokémon Gold and Silver still hold up well, these remakes are probably the best way to explore the Johto region in a Pokémon game.
Most underrated Mario game in my opinion, it improves on Super Mario 64 with things like more obvious hints on how to collect each shine and a FAR better camera, and even though Sunshine does have its share of problems, I still think it's not only the best 3D Mario game, but the best Mario game in general.
