I play Mario Kart Tour pretty regularly. I do spend money on it from time to time whenever I have a little cash to spare. Not a lot though. I do like the fact that they have an insane roster of drivers, karts and flyers. Some of the tracks are fun and unique.
But the bots that you race against are extremely brutal! How do I have a frenzy and bots are passing me? Or I can have a Mega Mushroom, hit somebody, and it just bumps them to the side instead of causing them to wipe out? And bots recover from crashes way too quickly and are extremely quick. Not to mention green shells are deadly accurate! Way more than a red shell. And don’t even get me started on how your Kart is somehow magnetically drawn to every banana or bomb on the course. And drifting can be hit or miss most of the time.
Rubies can be difficult to come by. And coins can be difficult to come by as well for those more expensive items (like high end tickets). And it sucks that Nintendo requires you to have the new, introductory items for the week to even do well in the new course. I just have to pray that my older characters, karts and flyers, that I’ve upgraded from previous cups, are included in the top shelf for the new track.

Here’s how I’m doing on this week’s cup:
