@Fighting_Game_Loser Keep in mind that on top of the cost of licensing, this is a small company, the games are niche and even retro gamers aren't likely to pick up more than a few games every once in a while. So instead of thinking of it in terms of paying $8 for a ROM, think of in terms of paying a few bucks for the online functionality, a few more bucks for quality assurance and then a bit extra to help keep the lights on. I think it's reasonable considering the consistency of the emulation and the fact that each game comes with a manual in multiple languages.
You won't get as much bang for your buck when compared to modern games, unless you're a score hound, but this can be said about most games of that time.
@Yosher Because they're not the same. The crucial difference is that the Joy-Con 2 have an optical sensor on the rail much like a mouse. You can't fake that with gyro or anything like that.
@Suketoudara Nope, this isn't the reason. Not every game, and in fact, most games don't use the twisting mouse functionality.
