Re: Panic Button Needs Time To Refine DOOM Eternal On Switch, id Software Says It Won't Be A "Huge" Delay

@StevenG I get the point you're making regarding the specs, and I fully understand what Nintendo set out to achieve with the Switch. I think we have a semantic dispute here. I consider the console to be current generation due to when it was released, similarly to how Wikipedia describes the eighth generation of consoles here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eighth_generation_of_video_game_consoles

I just think there must be a better way for developers and publishers to differentiate between the Switch and the two more technologically advanced consoles (e.g. PS4 and Xbox One) than referring to them as "the current consoles" and excluding Switch. I stand by my original comment that the Switch is a current console.

Re: More Than 200 Old Pokémon Are Being Added To Sword And Shield's National Dex

@IdleYoshi This is precisely correct. Working in game development for several years myself, I can say with near certainty that the team knew this was coming all along, and the DLC was planned from the start. This was not, like, "fans are upset, let's add them back." It probably explains why their answers in regards to this issue were met with some confusion in the past, because they weren't ready to reveal their DLC plans yet.

Re: Nintendo's Next European Splatfest is the Most Random Yet

I think this is a great Splatfest idea. I've had conversations before with friends over whether or not pineapple tastes good on a pizza, and I am sure kids have as well. Splatfests have never been that amazing anyway (though they are fun). I would like to see more like the Autobots/Decepticon stuff, however. And let me keep my shirt!

Re: Aonuma Talks the Legend of Zelda's 30th Anniversary, Working as Fast as Possible on Zelda U

I'd rather enjoy this on the next platform. It seems like a no-brainer to me. Do we really want this on Wii U? I love Wii U and play Nintendo consoles and handhelds exclusively, but I would prefer to wait for what could potentially be the "definitive" The Legend of Zelda experience. Imagine the possibilities with all of the NX rumors floating about?

Give me a Twilight Princess HD and I'll be OK. I know, it's not necessarily ideal, but consider how The Wind Waker HD turned out. We could be receiving something stunning...
