Abyss is somewhat rare already, as the PS2 version can go for more than 40 dollars on ebay. I missed the game its first time around and have be pining to try it. It'd be nice to get a 3D version of the game for the same price!
As far saccharine, it was subtext--some may find the "sweetness" of the game to be a bit of a detriment, as it is geared towards kids, but if you can get past its candied presentation, there is a short, but pretty decent HOG to be found. The new tagline still conveys that, just in a clearer, more straightforward way.
Its good to see Twin Galaxies rectify their Mitchell lovin' scorekeeping. I'm guessing they just wanted to give him the crown for a little bit. Must be the hot sauce.
@ Sneaker13 The game certainly is long, and if length is what you want from a title, than go for it. Some prefer quantity over quality. But while the frequent back and forth and endless carrot growing may add length to the game, that doesn't necessarily equal fun.
Great interview, I'm definitely looking forward to the sequel. I think its great that they ran out and bought Doshin the Giant off eBay after hearing comparisons. I've never played the game, but caught some videos of it, and the two games do look a lot alike. The giant even looks like a big yellow Stompy!
@WolfRamHeart The achievements are basically the challenges laid out in the review: beat a level without getting damage, without being spotted, or smash all the robot buildings in the time limit. They are basically repeated level to level. Getting them all is tough though and definitely lengthens the game. @Stompy Its OK we all have gas problems from time to time
A general rule of thumb seems to be that if a game has a Z in the title you should probably stay away. Unless of course there is a Dragonball in there too.

Re: Review: Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem (GameCube)
This is one of the few game to take place in Rhode Island! My home state! JIGGA!
Seriously though, we got some haunted-ass shiz. H.P. Lovecraft is from Providence, and he's buried in Swan Point Cemetary.

Yes you will be able to download past DSiWare games! Just found it in the Nintendo announcement source link.

Re: Review: Fenimore Fillmore "The Westerner" (WiiWare)
Comparing two games of the same genre, that are on the same distribution service for the same price is far from unfair, regardless of age or length.

All these recent 2D beat-em ups just make me so happy I'd love to see some Night Slashers on Wii VC Arcade

I've been trying to score a SwanCrystal off ebay for ages now. You can play them vertically or horizontally. Look at those buttons. Genius!

That horse hair one when came in right when I joined the team. It was a wonderful introduction.

Re: Review: Space Trek (WiiWare)
Ha! This was really fun to read. WiiWare is becoming entertainment in its game reviews alone.
