The first one was great on the Xbox 360, but I've a feeling that it might not of sold well on the Xbox 360 and PS3, so SEGA have decided to stick with the Wii U and 3DS. A Vita version is probably down to it being a new console. All in all, if SEGA is cutting out the Xbox 360 and PS3, great to see it coming to the Wii U.
Shift was a great game with some excellent tracks, but oddly, shift 2 looked quite inferior compared to Shift. I hope this isn't just going to be Shift 2 in discuise.
The Wii U will probably be more powerful that the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, but as soon as the Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4 surface, the Wii U will fall into third place (power wise). But a report today stated that the Xbox 720 will be 6 times more powerful than the Xbox 360. There's been no reports comparing the Xbox 720 to the PlayStation 4, plus there's been very little reports on the PlayStation 4 anyway, none which included any spec talk.
In the UK, the 3DS launched at £230 without a game, gamers made Nintendo sweat, so Nintendo was forced to reduce the price to £150, I got a new one from Amazon for £115. The Wii U will be expensive at launch, I can see it launching at £300+ without a game. It's all about the games, there should be 2 packs at launch, 1 with and 1 without the controller which is the only reason why the Wii U will be expensive at launch. I couldn't care less about the controller, but as with the Wii, it had quite a poor range of games, Nintendo actually admitted that new game releases had dried up, the remote got more praise than anything, look at the Wii now. On top of that, 2012 ane 2013 will see the biggest battle ever in the history of gaming. PlayStation Vita, Wii U, Xbox 720 in 2013 and maybe the PlayStation 4 in 2013, Nintendo isn't going to walk it.
