Re: PSA: You Can Still Play One Game Across Two Switches, But Not Online Anymore

Get ready to buy multiple copies of the same game to play with family on Switch 2. Xbox and Playststion at least lets your household have a primary and secondary system so you can play online games with a family member.

If Nintendo thinks I’m buying two copies of Borderlands just to play with my partner, when I only need one purchase on ps5 and Xbox to play with them they are kidding themselves.

@pickachupikachup still dodging the question and literally made my point. You may call it an exploit on Nintendo systems. But like I said. It’s NOT AN EXPLOUT on Playstation or Xbox to have a primary and secondary system that allows you to play online coop with your family with one purchase per household.

So I ask again…do I have to buy two copies of Borderland on switch 2 for my household, when I only need one on Playstion or Xbox.

There is literally a new article here about this happening with current family’s and Splatoon online. I guess you just accept this as “patching an exploit” because Nintendo made you already jump through hoops for what other systems let you do as a feature.

But I’ll pay half the price to play with my family thanks. And if PlayStation “patches the exploit that’s been a system setting, and the way they handle family gane purchases for over a decade” then I’ll buy a second copy.

So cut it with EXPLOIT.

@pikachupikachup nah. Since when has it been an “exploit” to have a primary and secondary PlayStation that lets you share games. Buddy it’s a simple official system setting.

Note that game sharing on PSN within a household with primary and secondsry PlayStations has been a thing since like ps3. Dontcha think and “exploit” would be patched by now?

But go off defending anti consumer nonsense. So the answer to my questions is Yes. If I wanna play borderlands with my partner on Switch 2 I gotta buy 2 copy’s. I do not have to buy twice on PS5.

I cannot understate as an adult how underwhelming cardboard and $80 looks but over delivers once you actually play! PLAY IT. I CHALLENGE YOU TO HATE IT!

Easily the best value out there in terms of Variety of gameplay and education and innovation. More complex than meets the eyes guys. Support this because THIS is the creative Nintendo we always need.

Nintendo has given us way less content and imaginatively at this price point.
