I would love to play some Zombie mode on Switch 2. I tried Black Ops 6 last year on Game Pass and I actually had fun. If the series is coming to Switch I will probably give it a chance (if there is a Zombie mode).
@kmtrain83 True, but at the same time no one is forcing them to discount the game in three months. I also believe that if they really want they could also set different prices for digital and physical. Even Nintendo is charging 10€ extra for the cartridge.
I couldn't care less about the debate over game key cards, since I've been buying only digital for years, but Ubisoft missed an important opportunity here. Had they released this well-made port on a physical cartridge, many people would have bought the game just to support the format—just like what happened with Cyberpunk.
@sixrings Could be, but with both Microsoft and Sony pushing for handheld devices, and seeing how long the cross-gen period has been between the 8th and 9th generations, I doubt we will see a real “next generation” leap in two years. We will have new machines that will fuel the market, but I’m ready to bet that 90% of the games will be scalable enough to run on old gen consoles, handheld devices and 8GB graphics cards, just without new features like path tracing or AI enhancements. Of course not every game will come to Switch 2, but I’m sure the current market condition will keep the door opened for many ports.
