It's not exclusive to Switch/2 though. The remaster came out a decade ago on PS4/Xbone. Furthermore, the PS4 and even the original PS3 version have better graphics (resolution and framerate aside - for the Switch 2 version at least) than these shoddy Nintendo ports.
This is hardly an example of Nintendo's "superiority". Switch 1, and Switch 2, are both underpowered, overpriced, dated pieces of hardware, but even they should have easily been able to run this ancient game better than what we got here. Very poor excuse for a port, let alone a 'remaster'.
Booo Digital Foundry! Boo! 👎 Pokemon Z/A looks and runs flawlessly on both consoles. Switch 1 version alone looks incredible as it is and the Switch 2 version is one of the most technologically impressive games I've ever seen in my life, bar none.
People like DF and those who cling to their every word hate real games and they hate Nintendo specifically. Real gamers don't play games for 'super realistic graphics' and zero art style or gameplay. If you want that, go ahead and waste money on PS or XB. As for us, we will play Switch and Switch 2. DF and graphics-snobs also have no excuse to blame Nintendo for "low-resolution" or "bad framerate", as Switch 2 natively runs ALL Nintendo GAMES at 4k and 120fps, which not even PS5 Pro can do. 😂
Pokemon Z/A specifically looks incredible not because it looks 'realistic', but specifically because it doesn't . Gamefreak instead uses a little special technique called "Art Style". Something that only Nintendo seems capable of in the gaming industry. The art style in Pokémon blows away garbage like God of War or Call of Duty. Those games take zero effort to make and have no gameplay to boot, unlike the perfected mechanics in Pokémon which are downright addictive and charming. Add to that the excellent soundtrack, adorable and intense animations, and the lack of annoying voice acting (the only games with good voice acting come from Nintendo, such as Zelda or Xenoblade, but it is good that not all games have it. If Gamefreak believes it is a waste of time and money, I will take their word for it and have faith in them).
This is why I boycott DF. They lie all the time just to try to smear Nintendo. Unless they say something good about Nintendo, just assume they are lying!

I hope they charge $100 monthly for this 'game'. And I hope to God they are still going to re-use the same ancient models and 'animations' they've been using since X and Y on the 3DS over a decade ago. That would be awesome! Nintendo needs our money folks, we need to start a petition for them to triple their prices on EVERYTHING.
For the good of gaming in general! Do it for Pikachu, or he will die in real life!
