While I don’t agree with blatant 1:1 ripoffs. I do hope this will have the same sift kick up the arse for Nintendo that Palworld gave them for Pokemon. Nintendo have so many great franchises but they’ve been lazy as all hell in the past decade in regard to innovation with them. Pokemon is stagnant from recycling the same template generation after generation with just a few name changes and a few new sprites at AAA prices.
Tavel to 8 gyms to beat 8 gym leaders to take on 4 elite leaders to take on the champion with team [insert name] popping up occasionally.
Similarly with AC, with a few minor character swaps NH was NL and NL only had marginal improvements from WW. The “It prints money” gameboy meme has aged like milk and we’re still paying for the curdled cheese that remains of once vibrant franchises.
