@locard yep! They also said that I could incur a fee if my switch was out of warranty, I bought it inn2017, no idea where the receipt is. So I'll just wait, nothing has worked for me.
None of the proposed solutions have worked for me. Contacted Nintendo who've said Incan send them my switch for inspection, which is not an idea I'm keen on. If a software update can break it surely a software update can fix it, so surely there's no point sending it to them

I too am having this problem. Contacted Nintendo and they firstly listed all the techniques that I'd already tried.
They now said to book it in for an inspection, but the repair would only be free if it's still under warranty, but they need proof of purchase.
I bought it in 2017 I don't have the receipt anymore, has anyone else done this??
