Re: Splatoon Producer Inks Out Reasons For Lack Of Voice Chat And Staggered Content Roll-Out

@chess227 You let an easily remedied issue stop you from buying a game? Stop being silly. You have other ways to chat with your brother like Skype. As you can see from reading the article, the game's developers took the issue of voice chat very seriously, and made the decision to exclude it altogether. Why? Not because they're trying to be the parent, but because a lot of parents (not ALL but a LOT) are lazy. They think they can put a game in a child's hands and be done with it. But the moment something they don't like happens, it's bye bye Wii U. And you can argue about having the option to disable voice chat, but kids are SMART. They can find a way to restore it. They always find a way. Nintendo is saving themselves the hassle of a lot of backlash by leaving out voice chat, and to say they are a "complete failure" because it doesn't cater to a supposed staple aspect in its game when it can be easily rectified with a laptop is plain silly. Buy the game, load it in your Wii U, and call your brother on your cell phone. Done.
