@Maulbert Which was the past half-decade where we got:

So, yeah. They released a lot of games from non-Sonic franchises that were dormant in the West, at least.
As much as people would want a remaster/remake, let's be honest, even if SEGA does make one and promote it, it will be silently forgotten by the gaming community already a few weeks after release, and it'll most likely be a decent number of sales if we're lucky. Then we're back at the whole "SEGA doesn't know other IP other than Sonic and Yakuza (and Persona)" again. SEGA revived a couple of IPs in the past decade and I doubt people still remember them because they're not Jet Set Radio, causing said revivals to die again, or at least be discontinued being localized.
@Clyde_Radcliffe It's seemingly based on the latest PC version. So there's widescreen support and a stable framerate compared to the original. Also, not everyone is onboard with subscriptions to play old games. Plus, there is a chance for a physical release and people definitely love those. The only downside is the graphics compared to the 64 version, but, all things considered, I would prefer the features on the new one.
Side note: And for the PlayStation side, they're getting the great deal since it eliminates the possibility for the awful PS1 version being the one playable (and without trophies) on the latest gen.
Be warned. It seems like this is still based on the 2022 PC version, which was a slightly improved (performance-wise) version of the original PC version, which was graphically downgraded version of the N64 original. It still lacks the effects from the N64 version. At the very least, you can play it on 30 fps (which is more than the N64 original) and it's still not the PS1 version.
I'm pretty sure that this DLC (and a free one at that) being announced prior to the game's release is more of a marketing drive for Japan. Remember, MH is popular in Japan and Sega has been pushing the marketing for Frontiers a lot for Japan, if the JP exclusive Korone DLC isn't obvious enough, so it makes sense that they would do this to get the Japanese MH players' attention seeing this on their news feed for MH.
Btw, the news on the official Hololive Productions website mentions upcoming merchandise regarding the collaboration with a newly-made artwork for said collab.
